fascinating installation with sound that is made according to the barcode.
interesting to see how the sheets of barcode move up and down.

maquette scale to 1:1.618

maquette in place

close up view & working process on Rhinoceros

I will carry on working this way to actually see how my sculpture will look in space and size
before beginning to install my work in actual space.

I want enough space around my work without having two walls avoiding the view as it shows in the photographs. Need to really occupy the space!

My thoughts

Things to consider:
use of line
should I keep the two strings? or just limit to one(wire) to suspend the structure.
is the structure/form necessary?
why steel and string?
what are the things that I want to carry on having in the work?
and what are the things that need to be eliminated?
use bigger space, not just limiting to two walls for suspension
develop the structure

suggestions:
make cubes so that I can work with maquettes with walls around the form
work on sketch up or any other programs to actually plan out the whole space
- saves time
- I can get a clearer sense of the space with the work in it than working in actual scale every time
- less constraints

Sculpture 2
using the golden mean,
this sculpture is made to the ratio of 1.1.618
only using two different types of strings.
The grey one(wire) is only lifting the gravity of the sculpture
and the yellow one is mimicking the shape of the structure.
should I get rid of the yellow one as well, just leaving the one that is holding the steel up in space?
do I need a form? could they not be just lines?

do I need all those strings? are they necessary?
should I eliminate the strings to minimum?
make a decision between complicated and simple
what am I trying to accomplish with the lines?
